Student Engagement, Technology Integration, and the SAMR Model

Abstract:
This webinar reviews student engagement and the SAMR model, and provides several examples where the model is applied to technology in the classroom.

Description:
Technology integration needn’t be high stakes or expensive to be effective. Technology integration can be implemented on a small scale using a relatively simple framework and tool. The SAMR model, developed by educator Ruben Puentedura, is such a tool that respects content and context, co-exists with and reinforces Bloom’s Taxonomy, and facilitates technology integrations that are effective and replicable.

Learning Objectives:
1. Describe the elements that comprise the SAMR model.
2. Understand how the SAMR model can be applied to any learning environment.
3. Apply the SAMR model in one’s own learning environment.
